This is the third Marx Brothers' movie. It was directed by Norman McLeod who also directed Horse Feathers and Topper. It was one of their most zany since any pretense of plot was jettisoned to let the brothers run wild. It is big departure from their first movie, The Coconuts, where the producers felt the brothers were not enough to carry the picture so they kept cutting away to the plot, musical numbers, and dancing girls. Good thing McLeod had better sense. Watch out for the nice Animal Cracker reference.
