"Octopussy" was the sixth film starring Roger Moore. He had expressed desire to retire from the role but he accepted when Sean Connery came back in a competing Bond film. The title is based on a collection of short stories that were published after Ian Fleming's Death. One of them was called "The Property of a Lady" which was used a line in the film.
By this time, you should know what is going to happen in a Roger Moore Bond Movie. He walks around like the world's best known secret agent, says his funny lines and tries to seduce all the women he meets. There are many action scenes and they sacrifice all of Bond's helpers to keep the plot moving but the viewer is left with a feeling that it has been done before. For example the cheat backgammon games is feels very similar to Goldfinger's golf game.
An interesting note is the actress that plays "Octopussy" character. When the producers decided to set part of the film in India because Bond has not been there before, they decided to look for an actress that could look Indian. They settled on Swedish born Maud Adams with darker hair. This is the only time an actress has been used in two different Bond films.
