This is the last early Sean Connery James Bond. He would go on to remake Thunderball. The producers of this movie brought him back after the disastrous "On Her Majesties Secret Service. They agreed to pay Connery whatever it take. It was criticized for being campy but that was well before all of the Roger Moore outings. Looking at it now, I notice the nice details. For example the two reoccurring hitmen who are given more witty lines than Bond himself. The simple spycraft of Bond hiding in plain site by pretending to embrace an imaginary woman. This would have been done differently with other Bonds. Roger Moore would have had some high tech gizmo to solve the problem and Daniel Craig wouldn't try to blend in, he would just start shooting people.
