6/30/18 You Only Live Twice

This is the novel that comes just after On Her Majesty's Secret Service. After this movie, Sean Connery wanted to leave the series. I remember the movie as the first of the cheesy bond films. I think it is the first of the Bond films that film makers considered too boring for a movie so they kept the title of the novel and did their own thing. The result is a forgettable first and second acts with an over the top third act. The third act involved a rocket, and fake volcano and an over the top Blofeld performance. The performance was so bad, the Austin powers' Dr Evil was a parody of it.
