"Zelig" is a great mock documentary follow up on on "Take the Money and Run". While the proceeding movie was played strictly for laughs, Zelig is presented a real documentary about Leonard Zelig. Zelig is characterized as a man time forgot which is the reason the viewers haven't heard of him. Allen uses a number of techniques for the movie, Inserting Zelig into historical photos and film, interviews with fictional and real people, and memorabilia. My favorite is clips from a romanticized Hollywood film about Zelig's life.
In addition to the technical achievements, Allen present a movie confronting people's desire to conform and fit in and the risks that leads to.
