Spellbound is another classic Hitchcock romance. This time with Ingrid Bergman and Gregory Peck. It is an example of a mystery movie where the audience try to figure out the murderer. Hitchcock usually shuns these types stories as a distraction to main characters. In fact, Hitchcock goes out of his way to criticize the profession of psychologist in every discussion of the movie. For a romance, it has a few notable items. The first is the giant glass of milk used a pov shot. The other is the dream sequence shown in the picture. Hitchcock worked with the great surrealist artist Salvador Dali to create it. The dream sequence was constructed to be longer but was cut down for the pace of the film.
