The "Living Daylights" is the fifteenth James Bond movie but only the second one to not star Sean Connery or Roger Moore. The producers realized that they would have to move on to a new actor.
I was interested in how they were going to introduce the new bond. In "On Her Majesties Secret Service" it seemed very awkward. The camera did not show his face or kept it in dark shadows for at least eight minutes. It made it obvious, they were not self conscious about it.
In this movie, they have a little fun. There are three agents that could be Bond and we only find out which is Bond by the other two getting killed.
I know they wanted to bring back more of the spy theme back and less of the crazy billionaires destroying the world. I do not remember much more about the movie.
