4/27/18 Live and Let Die

This is the first Bond Movie with Roger Moore. At the time, he was well known for playing Simon Templar in "The Saint". The Templar character was supposed to be a slightly amoral character who had his own code of conduct. Roger Moore played him as a more a straight arrow good guy so he easily slipped in the Bond character. Moore has said that he played Bond more of a lover while Connery played more of a killer.

Live and Let Die takes place in Louisiana and involves voodoo. I found this to be one of the darker more scary of the early Bond films. Looking back on it now, it seems very 1970's with clothes and hairdos.
